Going going gone...
First what does this mean for books everywhere: I think that this means that the use of paper back and hard back books is on a decline. I have seen this more recently with all of the e-readers out there bringing in more online books rather than buying the books that take up space. Sure I think that things like the kindle and the nook are great, but it is lessening the value of book stores and touchable books. Its helping places like Amazon thrive, but making local book stores file for bankruptcy. Book stores provide jobs for the community, e-books let Amazon keep the jobs they already have.
Barnes and Noble: So far it is the biggest chain still left of all the book stores, though I have seen a few of the filing for bankruptcy too. How long until they close their doors forever? Well hopefully not for a while or else costs of getting paper books will skyrocket since all we will have to use is local bookstores. I have notice that when you want to order a book thats not popular from a local bookstore that they have to inflate the price by a few dollars. That price will go up if they end up being the only book stores we have left.
Kindles: So yes you can still use your Kindles even with Borders gone. It just means that your going to have to get most of your e-books from Amazon or other websites that you find online. I don't know if its the same for the Kindle but my Nook connects directly to Barnes and Noble to buy books. If it is the same for the Kindle I hope that maybe it will just connect directly to Amazon or the internet when the stores are gone.
So there you have it. That is all the information I have gotten on this topic so far, but I'll keep looking for more updates and if anyone else knows anything you should leave some comments. Or just if you have questions that you want me to find the answers for leave a comment.

Chimps Vs. Humans....
Another difference between humans and chimps is technology. While other primates are still learning how to use stone tools, humans have advanced in the technology field and are able to make such things as computer, cars, televisions, and they can even send themselves to the moon. Chimps can barely come up with new ways to gather food let alone how to make a computer, but if shown how may be able to use such a device. Will there one day be a time when a chimp can make such a device, or will they be stuck learning how to use our devices forever?
Michael P. Fay...
"Michael Peter Fay (born May 30, 1975) is an American who briefly shot to worldwide notoriety when he was sentenced to caning in Singapore as an 18-year-old in 1994 for theft and vandalism. Caning is a routine court sentence in Singapore but most Americans were unfamiliar with it, and Fay's case was believed to be the first caning involving an American citizen.[1]
The number of cane strokes in his sentence was reduced from six to four after U.S. officials requested leniency." (Wikipedia.com)
The rights in Singapore differ from the rights in America so his rights were not violated under the law. However they should have taken into consideration that the officers in charge of his case used force to get the answer that they wanted out of him, and should look further into the matter rather than just flogging him for a crime he might not have committed. It seems to be that the Singapore justice system is lacking not only in fair punishments but in fair ways to conduct investigations. In America flogging is a violation of peoples rights, and I believe that this is a good thing. What if and officer decided to take it to far and beat an accused to death? This is cruel punishment and our system seems to be working ok so why would we end up changing it to something that most Americans would be against anyway. We have more legal ways to find out if a person has committed a crime or not unlike in Singapore and they may just use this punishment as a deterrent so that others will not commit the same crime in the future. Since their law system isn’t as functioning as ours this may be the only way to keep certain crimes from happening again, but some crimes like Michael Fays deserve a less severe punishment. Only those who have committed a serious crime should be given such a drastic punishment. Instead other crimes should be given probation or time incarcerated instead of being beaten with a cane.

Healthy Choices....
Its not just taking Vitamins that we should be doing, though they help too. We should also be focusing on what we put into our bodies food and drink wise. It has been shown that certain foods have enough vitamins and nutrients to help fight off different types of diseases. Some examples of foods to eat are: Mushrooms which have Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, selenium, and cancer preventing properties; Goji berries which contain Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, Beta carotene, zeaxanthin, and can help eyesight and help prevent age-related macular degeneration; and Flaxseed and soybeans which help fight breast cancer. These are only a few of the many foods out there that can help fight different disease and give you the essential vitamins and minerals that you need on a daily basis. One of the main drinks that people can switch to drinking to help them out is tea. There are four different types of tea in the world: Red, Black, White, and Green. The two types of tea that help the most and that doctors recommend drinking every day are white and green to help fight cancer and heart attacks. It is so easy to live healthier just by switching your diet around a little, but even if you don’t do that there are still different types of vitamins that you can take to help you live healthier.
It is a known fact that there are a lot of types of vitamins in the world today and not everyone is going to take every single one of them, but there are a few important ones that you should pay close attention too. When your younger you need lots of Vitamins A, C, and Calcium to help with Vision, cell development, immune function, making collagen, fighting free radicals, and bone growth. Now that your older most of those things are done and you need to worry about a whole new set of vitamins like magnesium, potassium, fiber, iron, and zinc just to name a few, for your every day functions. They keep your body going if you don’t get enough in the foods you eat. Now your wondering if this is enough to keep you healthy and what do you do if you end up sick anyway?
Well there are natural cures out there that you can use to help you instead of antibiotics, since there is a scare about bacteria becoming resistant to them. One of the most well know natural cures to problems is Aloe Vera which helps with healing minor burns and sunburns, antifungal infections, has antioxidants, and is wound healing. The best part is that it is easily grown in your backyard. Another remedy that is well known is Ginger. It helps Ease digestive upset, diarrhea, and the urge to vomit. Also helps rheumatoid arthritis, or common joint and muscle pain. Also another thing easy to come by since you can find it in most grocery stores. One natural remedy that people aren’t as familiar with is Dandelions. They are a source of Vitamin A, helps the liver detoxify, kidneys eliminate waste products, and digestive problems. Who knew that a weed could be so helpful?
Most people are finding themselves looking at more natural remedies with the threat of antibiotics not working anymore, and most health associations encourage it. If people really want to learn healthier ways to live they can check out books from the library, talk to the heath care officials, and read web sources on things that are good to eat and that help cure natural aliments.

Jessie J...
The most popular song of hers right now is Price Tag, which tells the message that we pay too much attention to money and how much material items cost. I agree with this message since everyone is freaking out about money right now, when yes it is a big deal but it shouldn't dictate how we live our lives. The world will go on like it always has, and we aren't in something like the great depression yet so we shouldn't freak out so much.
So my love goes out to Jessie J to keep making new songs with new messages that people need to hear.

Tokyopop....
Dear fans,
As we've previously stated in our newsletter, TOKYOPOP.com will go offline early next week. We know that you probably have kept copies of everything you've uploaded (photos, videos, drawings etc.), but we just want to be extra-sure and give you this last reminder so that you can pull anything down from TOKYOPOP.com that you still need.
The last chance to pull your uploads is THIS WEEKEND! After this weekend, you will not have access to material on TOKYOPOP.com.
If you're concerned about losing any data, please act right away! Don't forget to tell your friends about this too, if you think that they're unaware of this.
Thanks, everyone!
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN???? If Tokyopop closes down permanently I will have a heart attack and need to shank people. I will fly all the way over to Japan and fix whatever it is that is not letting Tokyopop be amazing anymore and then I will make them make the mangas that I love most. Yaoi.
The end.
What a good story that would be with such a happy ending. Anyway so heres the deal, I hadn't seen that I had a newsletter from them an deleted it on accident, so I have no idea if this is just going to be a short term shut down for maintenance or if it is permanent. Anyone who knows, feel free to leave a comment.

What you need to know...
Men: What you need to know.
The easiest thing is just to hide for that week. Trust me, when it comes we don't care where you are as long as your away from us, or bringing us chocolate. That may save your life.
Now I know that some of my guy friends read this so I will put this in here for your benefit. When I am on my period you'll know it. Not only do I become slightly more quiet than normal, but I become so much more evil that I could make a person on America's most wanted list cry. Its bad. And trust me when I say this too, when it happens I speak my mind more than I ever do. If you do something stupid I will probably chew you out along with telling you each and every mistake you have made over the course of your life. Poor you, should have stayed away. When you finally figure out that Im on my period, since you know Im not so nice to begin with, you'll be like oh it must be that little thing that once a month turns them evil and not even superman could defeat them, but it will be too late for you by then. You will go into def con 5 mode and head for the hills though I doubt that that would even save you unless you figure it out early on. If you stick around through the whole thing, your just a sad little tortured dead man. Im going to say sorry now, because we woman have no control over our actions during this time. We think that whatever we do is right, and if you call us overly emotional three things can happen. #1 You should duck and cover because you pretty much signed your own death certificate there. #2 You have just made the girl you like, you mom, or some female that you are fond of start bawling. Way to go ass. #3 you get the silence that you were wanting in the form of you sleeping out in the dog house. FOR A MONTH.
So a note to all you men, try not to make us angry or your life may become very unpleasant very quick.
Here's a list of things that may be exceptable (depending on the person) to keep you out of trouble while shes on her period:
#1 you can't go wrong with flowers(unless shes allergic, then you shouldn't go near flowers) just bring her some flowers randomly and if she asks what they are for just say its because you beautiful. That will knock the bitch points down some.
#2 Do the grocery shopping for her. this will do two things, one, get her comfortable at home taking some time to herself and two, it will give you a chance to surprise her with her favorite ice cream or a piece of cake or something. That way when you get home you will be the hero for bringing her a snack.
#3 If her muscles look tense ask her if you can give her a massage. Being on you period makes you whole body ache but mostly your back so of course she would jump at the chance to make the pain go away. And so far the bitchiness has subsidded becuase you makeing her feel good even when she really isnt't. If this keeps up you may get breakfast in bed the next day.
#4 bubble baths. I know that its kinda weird to take them while your on your period but trust me they make you feel better. Light some candles, get the water warm, play her favorite music, hand her a book and get the heck out. Its her time now not yours. You can play in the bathtub later.
#5 Last but not least is bed. Now I don't know if men often try to get away with doing stuff with a girl who is on her period, but that is a no no. Cause one, we probably aren't feeling it right now and that means your going to have the worst time of you life. So heres the deal, you do what she wants instead of just pouncing like you normally do. If she wants to cuddle you cuddle, if she wants another massage you give it to her, and even if all she wants to do is go to bed you will do it. She doesn't feel good and deserves some rest after what all she has been through.
So this is the first What you need to know posts that Im going to be doing on random stuff that I think people should know.

The Lady Gaga Scandel...
"I am not stupid enough to put out a record and be that moronic," Gaga told the NME (via the Prophet Blog) at the top of a rant that began with denial then quickly transformed into rage, indignation, devastation, and religious pandering. It's her very own version of the Five Stages of Grief! We've helpfully diagrammed the conversation below:
Denial:
"No. Listen to me. Why the [expletive]...? I'm a songwriter. I've written loads of music. Why would I try to put out a song and think I'm getting one over on everybody? That's retarded."
[We agree! Tell us more about this, Lady Gaga. Also, we know there was no room for "retarded" among "gay, straight, bi, lesbian, transgender, black, white, beige, Chola, and Orient" on "Born This Way," but it's not nice to use that term as a pejorative, either.]
Rage:
"What a completely ridiculous thing to even question me about. I will look you in your eyes and tell you that I am not dumb enough or moronic enough to think that you are dumb enough or moronic enough not to see that I would have stolen a melody. If you put the songs next to each other, side by side, the only similarities are the chord progression. It's the same one that's been in disco music for the last 50 years. Just because I'm the first [expletive] artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn't mean I'm a plagiarist, it means that I'm [expletive] smart."
[Actually, it's not just the chord progression, it's the melody of the chorus. Here, this video that puts the songs next to each other, side by side, will help explain their striking similarities to you. Give this mashup a whirl, too.]
Indignation:
"Nobody in this room at any point looked around and said, 'Oh my God, it's 'Express Yourself.' Not once. Listen. I swear to you. ... It's so funny to hear you say, 'It must have been a homage,' I'm like, NO. When I homage, I [expletive] homage with a big sign saying I've done it. Why would I not do that now?"
[Ooh, juicy stuff! So nobody on your team had the guts to mention this striking similarity to you? Because it's impossible that nobody in your organization heard it, but everyone else on Earth did. Also, tiny nit-picky thing, but we don't think homage is a verb.]
Devastation:
"I just don't want my fans... I don't know. This is exhausting. I just don't wanna perpetuate that [expletive]. I'm sure you want to address it but it's just so ridiculous. I was just [expletive] shell-shocked by it."
[That's fair. And frankly, we admire you for answering questions about it. Most stars would have said "no comment" or had their publicists rush to the rescue. Have we mentioned we love "Telephone"? One of our favorite songs ever!]
Religious Pandering:
[Starts crying] "I feel like honestly that God sent me those lyrics and that melody. When you feel a message to give to the world and people are shooting arrows at it... there's no way for something that pure to be wrong."
[And... you just lost us.]
I completely agree with the author of this article with her comments at the bottom of what Lady Gaga said. Im sorry and I do love Lady Gaga but she needs to man up and take responsibility for the two songs sounding alike because Madonnas song was first. Im also wanting to point out that I have noticed that this isn't the first thing that she has stolen from Madonna. Did anyone else notice the cone boobs? Yeah Madonna had them first. Madonna had also expressed that Lady Gaga was coping her image and now is copying her songs. I think that Lady Gaga just likes Madonna way too much and needs to take a break from listening to her music and watching her videos. Maybe then she will come up with the original crazy stuff that she does that we all know and love.

4. House and Philosophy. Series Editor: William Irwin Edited by Henry Jacoby. A Blackwell Philosophy and Pop Culture Series
Dr. Gregory House is arguably the most complex and challenging antihero in the history of television, but is there more to this self-important genius than gray matter and ego? This book takes a deeper look at House to reveal the philosophical underpinnings of this popular medical drama and its cane-waving curmudgeons most outrageous behavior. What emerges is a remarkable character who is part Sherlock Holmes, part Socratic philosopher, part Nietzschean superman, part Taoist rhetorician, and not at all as screwed up as you might think. With everything from Aristotle to Zen, House and Philosophy takes and engaging look at everyone's favorite misanthropic genius and his team at Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital.
5. The Better World Shopping Guide by Ellis Jones
The Better World Shopping Guide is the most comprehensive guide available for socially and environmentally responsible consumers.
Again I did not write any of this, I mainly took the time to copy it from backs of the books. The only time I write something is if I review the book individually. This is just a list of books that I think you should check out and a summary or overview of them. If you would like me to review a book individually leave a comment, or if you like or dislike a book on the list leave a comment. Thanks.

Movies For The Month Of March...
1.) The Princess Bride
Based on William Goldman's novel of the same name, The Princess Bride is staged as a book read by grandfather to his ill grandson . More than a simpering love story, including but not limited to fencing, fighting, torture, death, true love, giants, and pirates. One of the best Classics out there.
2.) The Labyrinth
Young Sarah is left home alone by her parents and she has to babysit her little brother Toby. But the baby keeps crying and Sarah, while telling him a story to make him sleep, inadvertently conjures from a fantasy world the Goblin King who steals the child and brings him to his castle in the middle of a labyrinth. Sarah has to rescue him before midnight, or the baby will became a goblin...
3.) Sabrina
Just watch it you'll love it.
4.) Wait Until Dark
5.) Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
Why yes thank you for noticing that I got stuck on the classics. I hope you like them.
Makeup/cleaning your face...
I like to wash my face when I get up in the mornings with three different products while Im in the shower. The first is St. Ives Apricot Scrub, and if you do end up using the I suggest just using it once or twice a week since your dead skin doesn't come back that quickly. I gently rub this around the areas that are really starting to peal and it takes off all the dead skin. This may be a harsh product for some people since I find that it is slightly rough on the face. If you find it to be the same way you should look for a product that doesn't leave your face feeling like it has been man handled. You can play around with different products to see which one works best for you, but make sure that your not allergic to the ingredients in the product before you try it. You don't want to wake up with red splotches all over your face do you?
The next thing that I use is Clean&Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub. Now if you use this it has the beads in it to exfoliate your skin so you don't have to use an exfoliate before it, but you can if you are like me and you really really want that dead skin gone. This product ends up making my face feel fresh and clean and has a cold tingly feeling once your done using it. As I stated before make sure your not allergic before using.
The last thing that I use is Oily Skin Foaming Facial Wash from CO Bigelow, which you should be able to find still at Bath and Body Works if not then I think that it is out of stock but you can find a different version of it at their Website. I use this because I get really oily skin when Im out running around all day, so I need something that will keep it away longer and this helps a lot.
Sometimes I may switch out the above product with LUXIVA Foaming Cleanser Normal/Oily. You should be able to pick this up at you locale Merle Norman, and they have different types for if you have dry skin to normal skin.
Well thats all I have for you now, if you like this enough I may do another on different products or different types of makeup. So comment and let me know what you think!
Elizabeth Taylor...
The members of the Westboro Baptist Church need to shut up and show some respect for the dead. Ok we get that you don't agree with what she was doing but there is a thing as going to far with what you are saying and just making asses out of yourselves. Stop being rude and leave the grieving family alone. How would you like it if someone decided to go to your family members funeral saying that you were all going to hell and ruining your last chances to pay respects? Grow up and start acting like adults and leave everyone else alone. Worry about yourselves first.
"According to new reports, Elizabeth Taylor’s death troubled actress Zsa Zsa Gabor so much that she was hospitalized with high blood pressure." That was very suprising to hear for me as was hearing that she was getting her leg amputated. I think that Zsa Zsa just needs to take it easy and try to live a healthy life.

Lindsay Lohan...
An ET writer wrote this recently about the Lindsay Lohan scandal:
"Lindsay Lohan appeared in a Los Angeles court March 10 and rejected a plea offer that would have guaranteed her time behind bars.
The embattled actress chose to take her chances by delaying her case until a preliminary hearing with prosecutors and Judge Stephanie Sautner on April 22.
Judge Keith L. Schwartz granted the troubled star a chance to still accept a deal by March 25, where she would appear in court and can plead guilty or no contest and reportedly be sentenced to a possible 3 months in jail.
In the case that Lindsay stands trial, she could face a stiffer penalty for violating her probation stemming from her 2007 drunken driving case. Lindsay is being accused of felony theft by a Venice, CA, jewelry store for stealing a $2,500 necklace which took place in January during her probationary period."
I think that they should just throw her ass in jail already. Shes acting like she is above the law and is showing no respect for the judge or the courts. Shes acting like an entitled princess and she needs to know that she is not the queen of the world and that she is just like everyone else and she shouldn't get special treatment. If Martha Stewart can do time so can Lindsay. She stole a necklace and correct me if Im wrong but this isn't the first thing she has stolen. She does drugs and drinks way too much, so how can she be a positive role model anymore, let alone a contributing member to society? I say she needs to get locked up, because clearly rehab is not working for her.

Victoria Beckham...
Not only did I look up makeup though, when it comes to Victoria. I looked up her clothing line as well. Check it out if you would like.

Charlie Sheen....
Without further ado, my ranting may start now. So I am actually really worried about Charlie Sheen and how his life is going right now. It seems like he has taken so many different drugs that his brain is now wired to think differently. During that interview, while I was watching I was thinking 'normally you wouldn't say half the stuff that is coming out of his mouth.' He says that he is too smart to take certain types of blends because thats how people go down, but if he was really that smart he wouldn't have started drugs at all or at least not gotten his show canceled over them. They say that if you are on meth for about a two years, if you don't quit you have three years left of living. This makes me wonder how long Charlie has to live, because we all know he has done a lot of different drugs that probably don't mix. I really hope that he is and will stay clean. He actually used to be one of my favorite actors of all time, Im now just waiting for him to get back to normal.
Also one more thing, I want to know what people think of the fraze Winning. Think its a nice catch fraze or wish you could stop hearing it already? Let me know.
Michelle Phan....
On the note of brushes, I wanted to say that Michelle's video on how to clean brushes actually worked rather well. I not only used the dish soap and olive oil on my makeup brushes but also on my paint brushes and they were as good as new when I was done with them. It was a lot cheaper than buying the makeup remover or cleaner for the brushes and I already had the items I needed laying around the house!

Told in Kristina's voice, it provides a realistic portrayal of the tortured logic of an addict.
4.) Glass House- Rachel Caine
Claire Danvers is a freshman at college in Morganville, Texas. It’s an unprestigious college in equally unprestgious small college town. Clever and geeky, Claire never expected to fit in with the in-crowd of fashionable and popular girls but when she inadvertently makes an enemy of the clique’s leader Monica, she had no idea how bad things would get. Unable to stay in the dorm, Claire looks for off-campus accommodation and answers an advert in the paper for a room-to-let in a creepy old shared house. Accepted into the house, she finally feels like she is making some real friends, even if they are a little odd. Firstly, there is Michael the owner of the house, he’s only eighteen and a complete night owl. In fact, nobody has ever seen him during the day. Ever. Eve, a Goth girl who works at the local coffee shop and is a fellow roommate in the Glass House swears that Michael’s okay and is not a vampire and she would know because she’s checked…. Although, she also claims that Morganville is a town run by vampires, so she could just be crazy. Finally, there is Shane. He’s eighteen and although he doesn’t seem to do anything much all day apart from make chilli and kill zombies whilst playing computer games, Claire thinks he’s totally cool. Her new roommates are the best thing about living in Morganville because, as it turns out, Eve isn’t crazy and the town is run by vampires. In Morganville you have two choices - you either work for the vampires and have their protection or you are fair game. When Monica says she’s going to see Claire dead, she really means it. Luckily Claire’s new friends have her back and they hatch a plan to deal with the vampires and help her stay alive. However, Morganville is a town full of secrets and some of the roommates have secrets of their own…

What Do You Get When...
Anyway, I have midterms this week and now I have only 3 days to study for them. If I wasn't so weak I would hit something. I hope that I can actually make it to school, because today is the first day that I haven't had a fever. If I keep my fever down and gone I can go but if not my midterms are going to end badly. Wish me luck.

Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber...
In her small town, dubbed "Dullsville," sixteen-year-old Raven — a vampire-crazed goth-girl — is an outcast. But not for long... The intriguing and rumored-to-be haunted mansion on top of Benson Hill has stood vacant and boarded-up for years. That is, until its mysteriously strange new occupants move in. Who are these creepy people — especially the handsome, dark, and elusive Alexander Sterling? Or rather, what are they? Could the town prattle actually ring true? Are they vampires? Raven, who secretly covets a vampire kiss, both at the risk of her own mortality and Alexander's loving trust, is dying to uncover the truth.
This was one of the first vampire books that I had ever read (way before Twilight) and I instantly fell in love with the thought of vampires and romance. If only my high school life had gone this way. Sigh. Anyway, this book is good if you want to read about teenage romance. Not for the hardcore romancers but for the more soft at heart, mushy types. I personally thought it was a very good read but you will have to be the judge of that. Raven is one of my favorite characters, not only because she goth and the main character, but because she is spunky and does her own thing all the time. She never conforms to what people think she should be like, even though she ends up getting picked on all the time. Alexander is the most gorgeous goth guy I have ever heard of. Not only is he passionate and romantic, but hes an artist. What more could a girl want. Becky is my least favorite character in the book. It seems to me like she only sticks with Raven because shes the only one that accepts her and doesn't bully her. They have nothing in common and I fail to see how they could be friends for so long. Trevor is actually a favorite character of mine. Not only does he spice this up but I think he has a little something besides hate hidden up his sleeve for Raven.

Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick..
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment. But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel. For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.
This book totally blew my mind. Every time I thought I had figured out what was going to happen it went a completely different way. It was amazing how someone could come up with a story like this. Nora the main character is probably my second favorite character only to Patch. Not only am I intrigued by his mysteriousness, but I love his attitude. The only thing that I think that I don't like about Nora is how she gives in to people so easily, like Patch. But I forgive her because who wouldn't give in to him, come on.

Once in a Full Moon by Ellen Schreiber...
Beware of a kiss under the full moon. It will change your life forever.
Celeste Parker is used to hearing scary stories about werewolves—Legend's Run is famous for them. She's used to everything in the small town until Brandon Maddox moves to Legend's Run and Celeste finds herself immediately drawn to the handsome new student. But when, after an unnerving visit with a psychic, she encounters a pack of wolves and gorgeous, enigmatic Brandon, she must discover whether his transformation is more than legend or just a trick of the shadows in the moonlight. Her best friends may never forgive her if she gives up her perfect boyfriend, Nash, for Brandon, who's from the wrong side of town. But she can't deny her attraction or the strong pull he has on her. Brandon may be Celeste's hero, or he may be the most dangerous creature she could encounter in the woods of Legend's Run.Psychic predictions, generations-old secrets, a town divided, and the possibility of falling in love with a hot and heroic werewolf are the perfect formula for what happens . . . once in a full moon.
I think I am in love with this book. Truly. I can find some similarities to Vampire Kisses, like the romance factor and the outcast, but other than that it is a book all its own. The beginning is a little slow but not really dull at all. Once you start you get really into it and you can't put it down. At least I couldn't. I read it in and hour. Mind you I am a book worm so I don't expect you to read books as fast as I do, but this book was good. I like the main character and think she has a good personality, and the lover boy is totally typical dream boat material. Even if your not into the supernatural you would like this as a cute read.

The Roommate.....
I shudder when I think of this movie now. Not only do I not want to live in a dorm, but I am also going to check the backgrounds of every new friend I make....
Ok so Im not going to take it that far, but this movie really did raise the hairs on the back of my neck. It was very suspenseful and had a great plot for a horror film. I loved how every time Rebbecca did something bad the next time it got worse and worse, until she got to the point where she didn't mind killing people. It was more like she was in love with her roommate, Sara, than just plain obsessed with her. At some points I found myself yelling at the screen in either rage or terror for whatever Rebbecca was doing, but at the same time I somehow felt myself feeling sorry for her. Now that the movie is over I kind of wonder if the director had an idea for a background on that character and what in her life that would drive her to become the way she is. Maybe I'm just trying to delve too deep into a movie, but I'm a scientist that has to have a reason for everything. For every action there is and equal and opposite reaction.
Anyway this movie was really amazing and I think that it is a must see, if not in the theater at least at home.

Wedding fun...
Anyway so yesterday started out with me having to meet my counselor to get another class for school. I go to the advising center to tell them I have an appointment and say my counselors name, and a man standing there is like "oh no, hes freaky." My eyes got really big and I was starting to freak out, because come on who wants freaky counselor? He starts laughing and goes "don't worry thats me." I just about hit him. He actually had me worried there. SO I got my class and then I had to go straight to David's Bridal. I only had to try on one dress while my cousin tried on at least seven.I ended up getting bored and trying on lots of random dresses just for fun to entertain myself while I had to wait. The last dress that I had tried on looked like this. It slightly scared everyone.
After all was said and done at David's Bridal we ate lunch and then had to go to another Bridal shop an hour away. My cousin didn't like any of the dresses there and had a favorite at David's Bridal, so we at least have all the dresses taken care of. The only problem is that the brown dress I have to wear makes me look sickly pale so I have to get a tan. So not happy about that. Im a very pale Irish girl who does not look good with a tan. Oh well.
So that was my day yesterday. Oh joy.

Beautiful by Amy Reed
When Cassie moves from the tiny town where she has always lived to a suburb of Seattle, she is determined to leave her boring, good-girl existence behind. This is Cassie's chance to stop being invisible and become the kind of girl who's worth noticing. Stepping into her new identity turns out to be easier that Cassie could have ever imagined...one moment, one choice, changes everything. Cassie is trapped in a swift downward spiral tinged with violence and abuse and no one-not even the one person she thought she could trust-can help her now.
I was just wonder if those of you who have also read it thought that it was as messed up as I did. Not only do her parents seem to not care about her and act very superficial, but her so called best friend threatens her most of the time if she doesn't do what she wants. She has a very alarming way of thinking that makes you wonder if she should be on anti-depressants the whole time, and then she just lets some guy have sex with her just to secure her image. Not only is that messed up but I don't think that is close to most of teenagers lives. At least it doesn't even come close to my high school days, and trust me I was no angel. The parts that I liked about this book were when Sarah showed up and you thought that Cassie might be getting closer to her only for her to do a 180. I don't like how Sarah was written off far too soon, this book should have been longer and expanded on their relationship. It is horrible that they finally start connecting at the very end when there isn't really a chance for a good outcome.
I've decided that If I write up things like this on books or movies that Im going to rate them 1 out of 10. 1 being don't read/watch unless you life depends on it and 10 being you wont put down till its done.

Books for the month of Februray....
1. A Quick Bite by Lynsay Sands
That hot guy tied to Lissianna Argeneau’s bed? He’s not dessert—he’s the main course!
Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there’s another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sign of blood… an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Her mother thinks she has the perfect solution, and serves up the therapist on a silver platter (or at least a wrought iron bed). Of course it doesn’t hurt that this psychologist has a delicious looking neck.
What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that? Dr. Gregory Hewitt recovers from the shock of waking up in a stranger’s bedroom pretty quickly—once he sees a gorgeous woman about to treat him to a wild night of passion. But is it possible for the good doctor find true love with a hemophobic vampire vixen, or will he be just a good meal?
That’s a question Dr. Greg might be willing to sink his teeth into… if he can just get Lissianna to bite.
2. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human... until the cold makes him shift back again.
Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human—or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.
3. Moon Called by Patricia Briggs
Mercy Thompson's life is not exactly normal. Her next-door neighbor is a werewolf. Her former boss is a gremlin. And she's fixing a VW bus for a vampire. But then, Mercy isn't exactly normal herself.
4. Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton
Anita Blake may be small and young, but vampires call her the Executioner. Anita is a necromancer and vampire hunter in a time when vampires are protected by law--as long as they don't get too nasty. Now someone's killing innocent vampires and Anita agrees--with a bit of vampiric arm-twisting--to help figure out who and why.
Trust is a luxury Anita can't afford when her allies aren't human. The city's most powerful vampire, Nikolaos, is 1,000 years old and looks like a 10-year-old girl. The second most powerful vampire, Jean-Claude, is interested in more than just Anita's professional talents, but the feisty necromancer isn't playing along--yet. This popular series has a wild energy and humor, and some very appealing characters--both dead and alive.
5. Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
High School, on the outskirts of Chicago , everyone knows that south-siders mixing with north-siders can be explosive. So when Brittany Ellis and Alejandro “Alex” Fuentes are forced to be lab partners in chemistry class, this human experiment leads to unexpected revelations – that Brittany ’s flawless reputation is a cover for her troubled home life, that Alex’s bad-boy persona hides his desire to break free from gang ties, and that when they’re together, life somehow makes more sense. Breaking through the stereotypes and expectations that threaten to keep Brittany and Alex apart, Perfect Chemistry takes readers to both sides of the tracks in a passionate love story about looking beneath the surface.
I took all of the summary's from google and did not write them myself. Hop eyou have fun reading.
