Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber...

In her small town, dubbed "Dullsville," sixteen-year-old Raven — a vampire-crazed goth-girl — is an outcast. But not for long... The intriguing and rumored-to-be haunted mansion on top of Benson Hill has stood vacant and boarded-up for years. That is, until its mysteriously strange new occupants move in. Who are these creepy people — especially the handsome, dark, and elusive Alexander Sterling? Or rather, what are they? Could the town prattle actually ring true? Are they vampires? Raven, who secretly covets a vampire kiss, both at the risk of her own mortality and Alexander's loving trust, is dying to uncover the truth.

This was one of the first vampire books that I had ever read (way before Twilight) and I instantly fell in love with the thought of vampires and romance. If only my high school life had gone this way. Sigh. Anyway, this book is good if you want to read about teenage romance. Not for the hardcore romancers but for the more soft at heart, mushy types. I personally thought it was a very good read but you will have to be the judge of that. Raven is one of my favorite characters, not only because she goth and the main character, but because she is spunky and does her own thing all the time. She never conforms to what people think she should be like, even though she ends up getting picked on all the time. Alexander is the most gorgeous goth guy I have ever heard of. Not only is he passionate and romantic, but hes an artist. What more could a girl want. Becky is my least favorite character in the book. It seems to me like she only sticks with Raven because shes the only one that accepts her and doesn't bully her. They have nothing in common and I fail to see how they could be friends for so long. Trevor is actually a favorite character of mine. Not only does he spice this up but I think he has a little something besides hate hidden up his sleeve for Raven.

Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick..

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment. But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel. For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

This book totally blew my mind. Every time I thought I had figured out what was going to happen it went a completely different way. It was amazing how someone could come up with a story like this. Nora the main character is probably my second favorite character only to Patch. Not only am I intrigued by his mysteriousness, but I love his attitude. The only thing that I think that I don't like about Nora is how she gives in to people so easily, like Patch. But I forgive her because who wouldn't give in to him, come on.

Once in a Full Moon by Ellen Schreiber...

Beware of a kiss under the full moon. It will change your life forever.

Celeste Parker is used to hearing scary stories about werewolves—Legend's Run is famous for them. She's used to everything in the small town until Brandon Maddox moves to Legend's Run and Celeste finds herself immediately drawn to the handsome new student. But when, after an unnerving visit with a psychic, she encounters a pack of wolves and gorgeous, enigmatic Brandon, she must discover whether his transformation is more than legend or just a trick of the shadows in the moonlight. Her best friends may never forgive her if she gives up her perfect boyfriend, Nash, for Brandon, who's from the wrong side of town. But she can't deny her attraction or the strong pull he has on her. Brandon may be Celeste's hero, or he may be the most dangerous creature she could encounter in the woods of Legend's Run.Psychic predictions, generations-old secrets, a town divided, and the possibility of falling in love with a hot and heroic werewolf are the perfect formula for what happens . . . once in a full moon.

I think I am in love with this book. Truly. I can find some similarities to Vampire Kisses, like the romance factor and the outcast, but other than that it is a book all its own. The beginning is a little slow but not really dull at all. Once you start you get really into it and you can't put it down. At least I couldn't. I read it in and hour. Mind you I am a book worm so I don't expect you to read books as fast as I do, but this book was good. I like the main character and think she has a good personality, and the lover boy is totally typical dream boat material. Even if your not into the supernatural you would like this as a cute read.

The Roommate.....

Summary: An emotionally unstable college freshman grows obsessed with her unsuspecting roommate.

I shudder when I think of this movie now. Not only do I not want to live in a dorm, but I am also going to check the backgrounds of every new friend I make....
Ok so Im not going to take it that far, but this movie really did raise the hairs on the back of my neck. It was very suspenseful and had a great plot for a horror film. I loved how every time Rebbecca did something bad the next time it got worse and worse, until she got to the point where she didn't mind killing people. It was more like she was in love with her roommate, Sara, than just plain obsessed with her. At some points I found myself yelling at the screen in either rage or terror for whatever Rebbecca was doing, but at the same time I somehow felt myself feeling sorry for her. Now that the movie is over I kind of wonder if the director had an idea for a background on that character and what in her life that would drive her to become the way she is. Maybe I'm just trying to delve too deep into a movie, but I'm a scientist that has to have a reason for everything. For every action there is and equal and opposite reaction.

Anyway this movie was really amazing and I think that it is a must see, if not in the theater at least at home.

Wedding fun...

So my cousin is getting married in Sept. We went wedding dress and brides maid dress shopping all yesterday so when I finally got home I fell asleep without posting anything at all. Bad me.

Anyway so yesterday started out with me having to meet my counselor to get another class for school. I go to the advising center to tell them I have an appointment and say my counselors name, and a man standing there is like "oh no, hes freaky." My eyes got really big and I was starting to freak out, because come on who wants freaky counselor? He starts laughing and goes "don't worry thats me." I just about hit him. He actually had me worried there. SO I got my class and then I had to go straight to David's Bridal. I only had to try on one dress while my cousin tried on at least seven.I ended up getting bored and trying on lots of random dresses just for fun to entertain myself while I had to wait. The last dress that I had tried on looked like this. It slightly scared everyone.

After all was said and done at David's Bridal we ate lunch and then had to go to another Bridal shop an hour away. My cousin didn't like any of the dresses there and had a favorite at David's Bridal, so we at least have all the dresses taken care of. The only problem is that the brown dress I have to wear makes me look sickly pale so I have to get a tan. So not happy about that. Im a very pale Irish girl who does not look good with a tan. Oh well.

So that was my day yesterday. Oh joy.
